"Attack on Titan" season 2 has been recently confirmed with a release date slated for early to mid-2016. It was said that the anime's new season would focus on the transformation of more humans into gods or Titans.
According to Christian Post, Eren will lead the group in an uprising against a government. It was said that Eren will be able to control other Titans such as himself.
"Attack on Titan" has indeed become a global phenomenon, selling millions of manga copies worldwide and inspiring video games as well as both animated and live-action adaptations. However, author Hajime Isayama revealed that the series is about to end soon.
In an interview with Antenna, via Comic Book Resources, series editor Kawakubo Shintaro shared that there is only three years' worth of chapters left in the manga. Shintaro's statement only confirmed Isayama's latest revelation that "Attack on Titan" is about "60 percent finished."
When the series debut in 2009, Shintaro initially thought that it would be better if Isayama would write something that the general public could relate to. He added that it should be something that they would not have difficulty understanding.
"But who represents this 'majority?'" Isayama then argued.
The outlet reported that the author wanted to create a manga that would have a huge impact, even if it meant that it would only have a small fan base.
