The Sean Daniel Company and the Platige Films have teamed up in bringing the novels by author Andrzej Sapkowski to make a brilliant feature film called "The Witcher," which is scheduled to be released on 2017.
The Sean Daniel Company (SDC) has in its credit of producing "The Mummy" series and the much hit TV series called "The Expanse." SDC also remade "Ben-Hur," while Platige is now engaged in the development of an interesting animated movie which is solely based on the book "Another Day of Life" by Ryszard Kapuscinski.
Sapkowski had written many stories and his stories have already been transformed into a very popular video game "The Witcher," which is a character gifted with unnatural abilities. Now a film is being made where this character is a protagonist and is believed to pull the themes based on "The Witcher" and "Lesser Evil," which are the two short stories in The "The Last Wish" collection by Sapkowski.
There has been a Press Release that announces that the plan is to introduce "The Witcher World" and this would be the first part of the series. This series would not be restricted merely to the film series but also there would be an adaption of the same as a TV series.
It has also been announced that regarding the adaptation of the TV series, screenwriter Tania St. John is working on developing the script, although, no names of actors who would be working in "The Witcher" were revealed in the Press Release.
