Scott Derrickson's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Doctor Strange" may see another character help the Sorcerer Supreme.
According to Cinema Blend, the character named Wong could be seen in Derrickson's "Doctor Strange." The publication said that Wong was Stephen Strange's manservant, who was sent by The Ancient One to to help Strange in his endeavors.
Aside from his martial skills, Wong also has a broad knowledge of magic while he stayed with Strange; however, he was not able to enhance these skills. Wong has also helped Strange in a number of crucial battles, making him one of Strange's closest allies.
Overall, "Doctor Strange" may display a balance between martial arts and mystic arts with the fused forces of Wong and Strange.
Wong could be Strange's assist opposite Kaecilus, who could also be utilized by Marvel in "Doctor Strange." According to Cinema Blend, Kaecilus could open the curtains into the magic realm and set up what had to come in the modern time. However, this information has yet to be confirmed.
Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" will not be an origin story, but will still center on the exploits of Strange, a neurosurgeon who loses his hands' fine motor skills after an accident. He meets the Ancient One, a master of magic who trains him to become the Sorcerer Supreme and defend the world from evil.
"Doctor Strange" stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, Rachel McAdams as the Night Nurse, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme. "Hannibal" actor Mads Mikkelsen, who was reported to play the role of Mephisto or Dormammu, might not appear in Derrickson's forthcoming film.
Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 4, 2016.
