The leaked Sony emails between the top executives have been a source of astonishing revelations, which have shocked celebrities. The latest hacked emails revealed that Beyonce's father, Mathew Knowles, tried to pitch for a biopic on a Destiny's Child in December 2013.
The leaked emails clearly stated that Mathew talked about a biopic on the popular group Destiny's Child and offered Sony the first rights on the project. The executives also seemed amendable to the idea, but unfortunately no concrete plans came out of the whole email exchange.
It may be recalled that Knowles used to manage Beyonce's career until three years ago. Unfortunately, they had a difference of opinion and Beyonce sacked him from that position. There were reports that the father was stealing money from his daughter's earnings and when this fact came to light, he was unceremoniously sacked as a manager. However, if the biopic had been made, Beyonce's father would have played an integral part in the whole project in the capacity as Beyonce's ex-manager.
Mathew had approached Clint Culpepper, who is the President of Screen Gems about the proposition. Later, Culpepper wrote to his peers, which included Amy Pascal and others.
Meanwhile, another email about a possible biopic was sent to director Amy Pascal. The celebrity in question is none other than rapper Kanye West, who has managed to hog the limelight since he fathered a daughter with the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian. There have been recent reports that the marriage has hit a rocky patch, but it ought to be mentioned that nothing has been confirmed as yet by any of the concerned parties.
