Following the shocking terrorist attacks experienced in Paris, the Hollywood entertainment industry is taking no chances, with many bands and celebrities rescheduling and canceling appearances and performances in France including Coldplay, Motorhead, the Foo Fighters and U2.
Motorhead who were scheduled to perform in Paris over the weekend have now decided to perform in January 2016 instead while the Foo Fighters have called off their European tour, according to BBC.
Coldplay also decided to call off their live stream show "out of respect for the terrible events in Paris," according to the publication.
The attacks in Paris were carried out simultaneously affecting concert goers at a football stadium and those at a restaurant and cafe in the French capital. More than 100 people were killed in the attacks, while 89 were gunned down at the Bataclan concert venue were the American band Eagles of Death Metal were in the midst of performing.
The band members were unhurt but a British national selling merchandise at the venue had been among those reported to have been killed.
Meanwhile, Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and "Black Swan" actress Natalie Portman have also canceled scheduled engagements in Paris. Distributors of Portman's latest movie "Jane Got A Gun," announced that it was canceling the French premiere of the film including the scheduled press junket, USA Today reported.
"Owing to events (Friday) night, we are canceling TV appearances, junket and preview appearances with Natalie Portman Nov. 15-16," the film distributor said in a statement obtained by the publication.
Twentieth Century Fox has also scrapped a planned photo opportunity for French press with Spielberg and the cast of the Cold War drama "Bridge of Spies" until further notice.
