Apart from starring in the said worldwide hit television drama, Wesley also stars in the upcoming Drafthouse Films' "Amira and Sam." The 32-year-old actor was last seen in the big screen via IFC's "Before I Disappear," where he acted as the producer as well.

"Convergence" will be executive produced by Benjamin Tappan, while Justin Begnaud and Jonathan Lim will serve as producers.

The film will be based on an original screenplay by Jeff Richard and will follow a group of concealed biotechnology engineers, including an MIT student virtuoso, one who develops a new technology far beyond expectations and the limits of human control.

The movie will be somewhat analogous to "Flatliners," "The Matrix" and "Fight Club."

Principal photography will start in the spring of 2015 in Shanghai and Atlanta.

"We are very excited to work with such a talented team on this project and believe the film will resonate with audiences on a global scale," said Jonathan Lim, Crimson Forest Entertainment CEO.

"The film's plotline and cast of characters align perfectly with our distribution objectives and we look forward to hitting the ground running in 2015 with a talented cast and crew," reported Yahoo Finance.

The contract was negotiated by Justin Begnaud of Crimson Forest and Ian Stratford of Gray, Krauss, Stratford, Sandler, DesRochers, LLP.

Based in Los Angeles, Crimson Forest Entertainment is a publicly traded global independent motion picture studio that finances, produces and acquires theatrical-quality feature films and television series with budgets up to $25 million for worldwide distribution.
