According to recent "Empire" season 2 episode 8 spoilers, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) will attack his youngest son Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y. Gray) by releasing a rap by Freda Gatz (Bre-Z).
Freda Gatz is the young rapper who caught the attention of Lucious Lyon when she visited her father Frank (Chris Rock) in prison. Rock's character is the drug lord whom Lucious Lyon and Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) used to worked for.
In an interview with BuzzFeed News, Bre-Z talked about appearing in "Empire" season 2 as a guest star. She said, "This definitely became part of the plan. I'm able to portray a character, and at the same time, still be a musician."
For Bre-Z, the best of playing Freda Gatz in "Empire" season 2 is "being able to do the music makes the work environment that much more comfortable."
In an interview with Windy City Times, "Empire" executive producer Ilene Chaiken said that they were "really excited by the music that was created for the show in the first season."
Chaiken added that Timbaland and his team, which includes Jim Beanz, are creating many songs for "Empire" season 2, and what she has heard has been "spectacular."
If anything, we've stepped up our game and we also have some additional songwriters and music producers working on the show, including Ne-Yo, J.R. Rotem and Swizz Beatz. We've got some incredible music in season two.
Other "Empire" season 2 episode 8 spoilers reveal that Cookie Lyon's older sister (Vivica A. Fox) is paying a visit while Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey) is set to receive life-changing news. Also, Howard and Henson's characters' middle son Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) will try to land a big sponsorship deal.
