The "Spider-Man" 2017 reboot will feature Morlun, Mysterio and Chameleon for the main villain role and Marvel Studios possibly developing "Spider-Verse" soon.
A new line up of Spider-Man's rogues gallery will likely appear in the "Spider-Man" 2017 reboot film as comic books fans want to see Quentin Beck/Mysterio, Dmitri Smerdyakov/Chameleon and Morlun to debut on the big screen, ComicBookResources reported.
In the comics, Mysterio is the self-proclaimed "Master of Illusuion" as he uses several gadgets and weapons to trick Spider-Man into thinking he has black magic.
Chameleon is the haft-brother of Kraven the Hunter, who happens to be another character rumored to be the main villain in the film and a master of disguise.
Morlun is a monstrous being and is one of Spider-Man's most dangerous enemies as he is the one who actually "killed" the web-slinger in the comics. Morlun's present in the film could make an interesting storyline since their encounter will lead to another major Spider-Man event.
So far, only Kraven the Hunter is being campaigned to be the main villain opposite Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) in the 2017 reboot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although it is rumored that Vulture and Scorpion are being considered in film and will be portrayed by "Twin Peaks" star Billy Zane and "American Pie" star Jason Biggs.
Aside from the new villains, it seems that Marvel Studios will incorporate a famous storyline for the Web-slinger for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the form of "Spider-Verse" story arc.
Director John Watts hinted that Miles Mirales from the Ultimate Marvel comics will likely show up alongside Peter Parker in the "Spider-Man 2017 and with Morlun being pushed by fans to appear in the film it seems that "Spider-Verse" storyline could be adapted in the big screen in future projects, International Business Times reported.
The "Spider-Verse" storyline in the comics, will feature every Spider-Men in each alternate worlds as they join forces to battle Morlun and his family, the Inheritors.
Holland's version of Spider-Man is rumored to appear in the "Captain America: Civil War" trailer during the premiere week of "Star War: The Force Awakens" next month.
Spider-Man will appear first in "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6, 2016 and his new solo film on July 28, 2017.
