Spending too much time in the hospital with recovering husband Lamar Odom has affected Khloe Kardashian's health. As a result, she had to cancel her book signing for the newly released "Strong Looks Better Naked."
TMZ speculates the cause of the 31-year-old reality star's illness is a staph infection. It reports that she has a painful lesion on her leg, high fever, swollen glands, intermittent chills and profuse sweating.
According to the Mayo Clinic, a staph infection could become fatal if the bacteria invasion goes deeper into the body and enter a person's bloodstream, joints, bones, lungs or heart. To treat the disease, antibiotics is prescribed and the infected area is drained.
Khloe did not disclose what she is sick of but tweeted that the doctor ordered her to slow down until they diagnose what is wrong with her. She will undergo more tests on Thursday, hinting she is stressed.
E! News cites a source who says that Khloe is so tired from "burning the candle at both ends," referring to her caring for Lamar who suffered from a brain damage after an overdose of cocaine and herbal Viagra at a Las Vegas brothel and promoting her book.
Lamar is recovering at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA, although doctors say it would be a long, slow and hard recovery. Khloe told TV host Ellen DeGeneres on Monday that Lamar is off all machines that help his organs and he is learning how to walk and feed himself again.
