Believe it or not, the recently released iPad Pro already received discounts, which strongly suggests the upcoming iPad Air 3 release.
iPad Pro received discounts from Apple and carriers. Apple is giving the iPad Pro an educational discount bringing the price of the tablet to $779, which is $20 less than the tablet's original price for the 32GB WiFi model.
Education pricing is available to college students, students accepted to college, parents buying for college students, faculty, homeschool teachers, and staff at all grade levels.
All four major US carriers are offering generous discounts to consumers who want to buy the iPad Pro under a contract. AT&T offers the 128GB variant for $100 less bringing the price down to $979 for consumers who can commit two years.
The carrier also offers consumers the option of not having to shell out a single cent, but consumers must pay $54/month for 20 months.
Verizon also offers a $100 less on the one-time payment for 128GB iPad Pro like AT&T, but it also offers the tablet for $0 down payment and $44.99/month for 24 months.
T-Mobile, on the other hand, sells the iPad Pro for $199 upfront and $36.67/month for 24 months with wireless service. Lastly, Sprint customers can pick up the tablet for $200 down and $36.67/month for two years.
Meanwhile, iPad Air 3 release date is purported to happen in early 2016 alongside the new generation of MacBook Air and Pro.
International Business Times alleged that the upcoming iPad Air 3 will be thinner than its predecessor. It will boast the same 9.7 inch screen display, but with 4K resolution. Under the hood, the tablet is reported to be powered by the A9X processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
Other top of the line specs purported to be included in the anticipated iPad Air 3 are 3D Touch technology and water and dust resistance. Despite its high caliber specs, iPad Air 3 is reported to be available in a pocket-friendly price starting at $610, which is way cheaper than the current iPad Pro.
