In line with the most anticipated Black Friday, Microsoft is teasing deals on its Surface tablets, Office suites, Xbox One, and more.
The Redmond, Washington-based tech giant has started its holiday season cuts the prices for its products and PCs from Dell, HP, Asus and Lenovo. The earliest sales has started on Nov. 20 for Xbox Live Gold members and shoppers browsing the Windows Store, and it will until Nov. 29.
Microsoft is on a "10" kick because of its Windows 10 operating system. Movies, songs and apps will be available for 10 cents, while music albums will be sold for $1. Music selection includes "Happy" by Pharrell Williams, "What do you mean," by Justin Bieber, and "Timber" by Pitbull. Albums for $1 include "Lazaretto" by Jack White, "Title" by Meghan Trainor and "Four" by One Direction.
Xbox Live Gold members can get Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for as much as 60 percent off. They can take off an additional 10 percent for having Gold status. Non-gold members can choose the option to upgrade for $1 for the first month, PCMag reported.
There is also a "Work and Play Bundle" that Microsoft offers, according to CNet. It includes a one-year subscription to Office 365 Home, Xbox Live Gold, Skype Unlimited World, Wi-Fi hotspot, Assure software support, and a $60 promotional gift card, with a price tag of $149 only.
Windows 10 devices from Microsoft and its partners are getting some huge discounts as well. Surface Pro 3 has $200 off and HP Pavilion 15 receives $300 discount. The Acer Aspire R13 is selling for $1,099 and the 2-in-1 Acer Aspire Switch 11V is retailing for $499.
Microsoft’s smartphones and accessories will get discounts, too. The AT&T Lumia 640 costs $39 at Microsoft Stores, and the Lumia 640 AT&T Go phone is now $30 at Best Buy. AT&T is also slashing up to $200 off the Surface 3 LTE when availing Lumia 950 or 640 XL with a two-year service agreement.
