The comeback album of Aretha Franklin might not be as record-breaking as the previous ones, but the latest news is not that bad, at all. For beginners, this 72-year old singer could enlist 'club queen' into her resume. According to the Billboard, the diva's own version of "Rolling into Deep" topped the Billboard's dance songs this week- making this her first top hit in 16 years.

The album entitled "Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics" features the popular hits of Adele, Tammi Terrell, Etta James, the Supremes, Barbra Streisand, Gladys Knight, and Alicia Keys. A few mashups were also included such as the "Nothing Compares To You" and Sinead O'Connor's single, "I'm Every Woman" and " Respect", as well as, "Survivor" and Gloria Gaynor's disco hits.

Franklin's intense interpretation of Adele's massive hit was first played in Disco mode by the British DJs Wideboys and Cutmore. Its pleasant and inviting rhythm made the superb American producers Paperchaser, Kenny Edmonds, Terry Hunter, Harvey Mason Jr., Eric Kupper and Ralphi Rosario to signal a "go" for its release.

Aside from "Rolling in the Deep" originally by Adele, the complete list of songs in the album includes "At Last" originally by Etta James, "Midnight Train to Georgia" originally by Gladys Knight, "I will Survive" mashup, "People" originally by Barbra Streisand, "No One" originally by Alicia Keys, "Respect" and "I'm Every Woman" mashup, "Teach Me Tonight" originally by Dinah Washington, "You Keep Me Hangin On" originally by The Supremes and "Nothing Compares To You" originally by Sinead O'Connor.

More than the great sound, people have warmly welcomed it because it somehow reminds us that it is really never too late to explore outside of your comfort zone.
