Clues about the characters of the 2015 film "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" have been revealed by an image of new toys posted on a Chinese "Star Wars" fan site. Shown in the image are Mysterious Sith Lord Kylo Ren, Finn, Rey, new droid BB-8 and wookiee Chewbacca.
Kylo Ren is shown wearing a Darth Vader-like mask and a thick light saber belt while Finn is wearing a sleeveless jacket over a long-sleeved white top, which is similar to the one Han Solo wore in the original trilogy.
On the other hand, Rey is seen in long Samurai-style robes that are similar to those worn by the mystical order called the Jedi, who serve as guardians of peace and justice in the first six instalments of the "Star Wars" franchise.
The leaked image of "Star Wars" toys does not necessarily constitute a glimpse into the actual details of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." On the other hand, the toys are likely to be at least reasonably faithful to the appearance of the on-screen characters, according to Telegraph.
This means that if the image is genuine, it hints that Rey may start Jedi training at some point in the movie as the trailer revealed that the character will spend part of the movie in desert conditions.
Daisy Ridley plays Rey while John Boyega plays Finn and Peter Mayhew plays Chewbacca.
J.J. Abrams directed "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which he co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan. The movie also stars Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Leia, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Kenny Baker as R2-D2, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO and Maisie Richarson-Seller as Korr Sella among others.
Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o is also part of the cast.
