In the first part of the "Dancing With the Stars" season 21 finale on Nov. 23, Monday, Derek Hough's partner Bindi Irwin did so well in her two dance routines that she received perfect scores from the judges.
The 17-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin performed a redo quickstep in her first routine and a freestyle dance to Leona Lewis' song "Footprints in the Sand," which were both praised by the judges.
Bruno Tonioli told Bindi that she "showed us the power of dance." Julianne Hough also told the Australian teenager, "You are so special."
Bindi and Derek also got perfect scores when they performed a trio with Mark Ballas. In the trio dance routine, Bindi twirled a rope around her body and danced inside of a box.
On Nov. 24, Monday, Bindi took to Instagram to share a photo of what appears to be herself and Derek dancing and thank her fans in its lengthy caption. She wrote that she cannot believe that she has been blessed enough to make it to the "DWTS" season 21 finals.
For Bindi, it has been such an experience living in Los Angeles and dancing every day for the last three months. She said the "DWTS" season 21 finals "will be extraordinary night." To her fans, she said, "I would like to thank you all for your amazing support and love."
In addition, Bindi dedicated her "DWTS" season 21 journey to her mother Terri Irwin, her brother Robert Irwin, to her late father and to Derek.
To win the Mirrorball trophy, Bindi needs to defeat Nick Carter and Alek Skarlatos on Nov. 24, Tuesday. Carlos PenaVega was previously eliminated.
