Popular singer Charlie Puth has revealed that he almost died during the songwriter's childhood years due to a dog bite while record producer Meghan Trainor noted that her kiss with Puth at the 2015 American Music Awards was only for the song performance.
When Puth was only two years old, a dog apparently bit the American singer's face and messed up Puth's right eyebrow permanently.
Likewise, Puth clarified in a Twitter post that the incident caused a head trauma that almost proved to be fatal. While the successful artist survived the dog bite, the scar located at Puth's right eyebrow has been a constant reminder of the horrific event, according to CBS News.
The tweet has since informed the public that Puth did not have the weird-looking right eyebrow just to stand out from others.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old record producer performed at the American Music Awards on Nov. 22, Saturday, with the 21-year-old Meghan Trainor as the duo sang Puth's certified platinum single "Marvin Gaye," according to MTV.
Immediately after singing "Marvin Gaye," Puth proceeded to passionately kiss Trainor as the "All About That Bass" singer invited Puth to come closer.
The incident has since been viral since the kiss was recorded in various angles for everyone to see. Fans who have been clamoring for Puth and Trainor to officially be a couple were excited at the development.
However, the "Nothing but Trouble" singer immediately revealed in a tweet that Puth and Trainor are just good friends.
Moreover, Puth remarked during an MTV interview at the AMA backstage that the kiss was meant to spread the message of "Marvin Gaye" to just let people relax and make out with each other.
Following the infamous kiss between the young singers, Trainor uploaded an edited photo of the AMA kiss on Instagram and indicated that Trainor was still single and is incredibly proud of Puth for accomplishing the daring scene.
Despite Puth and Trainor still being just friends, the duo has already kissed each other multiple times as the music video for "Marvin Gaye" was initially supposed to include a kissing scene between Puth and Trainor, although the kiss was removed for the final version.
