If reports are anything to go by, MacBook Air 2016 release will happen but it will be last.
The tech giant Apple appeared to be thinking stopping the production of MacBook Air devices completely because of the events that took place in March, Latinos Post reported. At that time, Apple released its latest MacBook versions but its MacBook Air was not in the lineup. This had people thinking if the end could be in sight for the MacBook Air.
Jan Dawson of Jackdaw Research said that the software company may stop producing MacBook Air devices and phase out them completely. This suggests that the tech giant will phase out the device gradually. Also, the firm will focus its efforts in improving the new iPad Pro.
But reports also suggest that rumors of the new MacBook Air continue to persist. Rumors are doing the rounds that the 2016 MacBook Air could be launched in December 2015.
However, according to an Ecumenical News report, the new MacBook Air will be released in spring next year since earlier MacBook Air releases have been in April 2014 and March 2015.
Apple has not released any official statements about these claims, therefore, it is best to take this information with a pinch of salt.
According to several reports, the features of the 2016 MacBook Air include an Intel Skylake-U chipset, a Type-C USB port, the OS X El Capitan operating system, Force Touch technology, a 15-inch and 13-inch versions and a better battery life.
In the coming months, more details are expected to come up about the new MacBook Air.
