"Mission: Impossible 5" star Tom Cruise spent Christmas with his former wife Katie Holmes, which may have caused him to disobey Scientology's strict rules. The two spent the holiday together in Holmes' home despite their arrangement to split custody of their daughter, Suri.
Holmes Katie has reportedly come into conflict with Scientology in the past so Cruise should associate with her "for the good of the Church and the individuals in it" because she is "officially labeled a Suppressive Person" as stated in Scientology's website.
Since divorcing in 2012, Cruise and Holmes has kept a friendly relationship. Cruise has admitted that Scientology played a role in their divorce while Holmes Katie has mentioned being "overprotective" of their daughter, according to The Inquisitr.
Following "Edge Of Tomorrow," Cruise is currently filming the 2015 film "Mission: Impossible 5" and is set to appear and "Top Gun 2" and "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back."
On the other hand, Holmes is about to make her directorial debut in the mother-daughter drama titled "All We Had," which is a film adaptation of a novel by Annie Weatherwax.
"There aren't as many movies being made, period, so the challenge is to create projects for yourself," Holmes told Elle Canada. She will grace the cover of the magazine's February 2015 issue.
Holmes also told the magazine she does not know she has moved past her "Dawson's Creek" role as Joey Potter. She said she had "a ball doing it, and it's really nice to be a part of something that did affect people."
The 35-year-old actress explained that ambition for her is a wonderful thing but she sees many people who might be a little more ambitious than her. She also mentioned she has a balanced life and she likes having different experiences and being inspired.
