A popular American hip-hop group known as Wu-Tang Clan has sold its secret album titled "Once Upon A Time In Shaolin" to a buyer who does not want be disclosed his name, according to an online auction house Paddle8.
The album is confirmed to be the most expensive single album sold in the history as it has incurred millions after the bidding. However, the actual cost was not revealed.
Wu-Tang Clan's lead Robert 'RZA' Diggs revealed in March 2014, that the album which contains 31 tracks has been sitting in what he described as "engraved nickel and silver box" somewhere near Atlas in the mountains of Morocco, Inquistr reported.
The album "Once Upon A Time In Shaolin" was reported to have been sold to an American collector through Paddle8 last May, after Robert 'RZA' Diggs made a statement saying they are ready to sell one album that no one have ever sold in modern music history, he added in in the end that the single-sale items that they will be auctioning will be a collector's item. Anyone who gets this album is synonymous to having the scepter of the King of Egypt. Tech Times reported.
According to RZA, the music group has always been driven by sheer innovations and this symbolized another great moment in the history of music. From the start, they hoped that their concept would be an inspiration of new ways appreciating creativity - goals has been achieved and the ideas has evolved continuously.
Although the legal documents and contracts have taken few months to get finalize. The album was produced by Cilvaringz and also featured guests like football players from FC Barcelona and Read man.
Its included in the contracted that the new owner of the new album can commercially release the album if he choose to, but it will take another 88 years to wait to do that.
The sales proceed would be donated to charity.
