"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" will feature Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) leaving the Chicago walls.
It was previously reported that towards the end of the franchise, Tris would be killed off.
In fact, even book author Veronica Roth said that killing off the character is necessary to the story.
However, Movie News Guide just reported that there's a chance the producers of the film will reconsider killing off the character for the big screen.
The publication noted that an alternate ending could still be shot, and this could show that Tris survived David's attack.
Meanwhile, there are some fans who believe that this isn't possible especially since the producers have to remain true to Roth's story.
This is why there are rumors that the alternate ending may only be part of the film's official DVD that will be released months after March 2016.
In other news, before Tris is killed off, fans can first expect to see more intimate scenes between the character and her boyfriend Four.
According to Master Herald, James himself confirmed that he and Woodley will be showing off more skin in the third installment.
Additionally, "The Divergent Series: Allegiant" will also introduce a younger version of Four and Natalie Prior (Ashley Judd).
As of late, it is still unclear on which scenes the younger counterparts will be a part of.
"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" also stars Miles Teller as Peter, Ansel Elgort as Caleb and Zoe Kravitz as Christina. The film will be released on Mar. 18, 2016.
