"X-Men" actor James McAvoy has revealed how Professor X would lose his hair in Bryan Singer's upcoming Marvel Comics film "X-Men: Apocalypse."
McAvoy is set to reprise his role as young Charles Xavier/ Professor X in Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse." In his interview with "The Graham Norton Show," along with Daniel Radcliffe, to promote Paul McGuigan's new film "Victor Frankenstein," McAvoy said that Xavier ended up going through something so horrible and physically painful that he literally half pulled his hair out/ half it falls out.
For McAvoy, he had just caused himself a mess, as he knew Fox Studios who owned him might have been mad at him for sharing the information.
Xavier had shaved his head, as films had teased Xavier's hair loss in "X-Men: First Class," in addition to the idea that he would lose his hair due to the aging process, according to Cinema Blend. The publication also said that trauma secondary to stress would be the likely cause of Xavier baldness in "X-Men: Apocalypse," as he had been paralyzed in "X-Men: First Class" and he had lost many of his students in the Vietnam War.
Meanwhile, Professor X and the other mutants are set be seen in Singer's upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse," which centers on the rise of En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, as he recruits his powerful Horsemen to help him destroy humanity. Professor X must lead a team of young mutants to stop their archenemy from achieveing his plan of massive destruction,.
Aside from McAvoy, "X-Men: Apocalypse" also stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Lucas Till, Ben Hardy, Lana Condor, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Olivia Munn, Rose Byrne, Josh Helman, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, among others.
Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016 while McGuigan's "Victor Frankenstein" is still showing in theaters.
