Lindsay Lohan took to Instagram to warn her fans of the dangers of not using bug spray when in a place prone to mosquito bites.

Apparently, the 28-year-old actress is suffering from a rare, untreatable virus called Chikungunya, is transmitted through mosquito bites and causes fatigue, fever, rash and joint pain sometimes mistaken for dengue, according to the World Health Organization.

Despite being sick after enjoying her holiday vacation, Lohan appears to be optimistic as shown in another recent Instagram photo she captioned, "In good faith with good people. I refuse to let a virus effect my peaceful vacation be safe and happy on the new year all #wildfox and a positive, healthy new year."

Recently, Lohan decided to relocate from New York to London, which she said let her finally become a bona fide adult.

"I can go for a run here on my own. I do every morning, early, and I think how my friends in New York would still be up partying at that time. I needed to grow up, and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else," Lohan told the The Guardian.

After appearing on "2 Broke Girls" as Claire Guinness, Lohan is set to star in upcoming films "Six Gun Dead" with Eric Roberts and Mark Boone Junior as well as in "Soul Carriers" and "Life Travelers."
