"The Big Bang Theory" actress Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting has been criticized for admitting that she is not a feminist, which she later on apologized for.
Cuoco-Sweeting took to Twitter to share a photo of the cover of Redbook magazine, with which she recently had an interview.
"In my Redbook article ,some people have taken offense to my comments regarding feminism- if any of you are In the "biz" you are well aware of how words can be taken out of context," Cuoco-Sweeting wrote.
Ryan Sweeting's wife said she is "completely blessed and grateful that strong women have paved the way" for her success along with many others.
"I apologize if anyone was offended. Anyone that truly knows me, knows my heart and knows what I meant," the 29-year-old actress wrote/
In the interview with the magazine, Cuoco-Sweeting asked whether or not it is bad to say that she is not a feminist as it is not really something she thinks about.
For Cuoco-Sweeting, things are different now and she is aware that a lot of the work that paved the way for women took place before she was around. She explained that she was never that feminist girl demanding equality probably because she has never really suffered from inequality.
Aside from pointing out that she is not a feminist, Cuoco-Sweeting said she loves cooking for her husband five nights a week because it makes her feel like a housewife.
Along with Melissa Rauch and Mayim Balik, Cuoco-Sweeting is among the female lead stars of "The Bing Bang Theory." The lead actors are Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar.
