Panasonic has unveiled its newest line of television series at the Consumer Electronic Show at Las Vegas. Their flagship product was the CX850U 4K TV. It is available in two variations, the 65 and 55 inch screen sizes. Both variations however feature the latest technology when it comes to LED and LCD TV.
The hottest trend on CES 2015 when it comes to TV is resolution. Different companies have already flaunted their own products sporting high definition display. However, nothing comes close to what Panasonic has to offer.
Aside from being able to display an ultra-high definition picture, the new TV series will also be integrated with Panasonic's Studio Master Drive. The Mozilla Firefox operating system will take care of the TV's interactive system. Additionally the CX850U will also make use of the quantum-dot technology in order for it to bring a vivid 10 bit colored picture.
The quantum-dot technology is the current standard setter when it comes to ultra-high definition TV. This technology can render stunningly impressive picture, ones that can rival those consumers only see in theaters. What lies at the very heart of the Panasonic CX850U is its Panasonics very own picture processing engine, the Panasonic Studio Master Drive. This enables the TV to project colors more accurately.
On the software side, the Firefox operating system does a wonderful job of presenting the interactive menus of the TV. Aside from the Firefox OS, a smart voice assistant was also reported to be installed along with the Xumo Guide which acts like a content directory.
Another interesting device shown during the Panasonic presentation was a prototype of what appears to be a 4K UHD Blu-ray player. Panasonic did not officially present it but it appears that Panasonic might be making headway when it comes to development of 4K Blu-ray player. Rumor has it that they might be unveiling this product within the last half of the year.
