There are speculations that PlayStation 5 will come packed with five times powerful AMD Processor in comparison to PlayStation 4. It is also expected to support 4K and Virtual Reality.
PlayStation 4 was released two years ago with a lot of positive response in the market. The console is still not that old, but talks about its successor are already underway. This only proves that the console is already becoming outdated and needs to be replaced soon.
According to Geek Times, AMD is already planning a 5x boost for the upcoming PlayStation 5. Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios revealed that the developers for the Play Station 5 are provided with full freedom on what they want to do with the upcoming PlayStation 5 console.
It is left totally up to them, how they want to design it, what games do they want to pre-install it with, everything. Yoshida also added that each and every aspect of PlayStation 5 is really up to the game creators.
Sony wants to give more power to its creators because they are also gamers after all. In addition, it also seems like Sony is already in the process of hiring developers who will be involved in team for designing the PlayStation 5. They are putting official adverts for this hiring as well.
The latest advert said something like Sony Computer Entertainment of America is hiring senior game programmers. These programmers will be given full control for the R&D of the new PlayStation console.
However, in spite of such an early head start, the PlayStation 5 is expected to hit the shelves not before than the year 2020, according to Tech Times.
