Bethesda's action adventure video game, "Dishonored 2," initially scheduled for a spring 2016 release may be released some time in 2017. The game is being developed by Arkane Studios and preorders are available for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
"Dishonored 2" is one of the most anticipated games after the big success of its predecessor. According to Gamespot, it was unveiled earlier at a Bethesda press conference that gamers will have to choose whether they wish to play the game as the main character CorvoAttano or princess Emily Kaldwin.
While it was rumored that Bethesda had decided to release the game in Spring 2016, the developer company is reconsidering the release date for some reasons. As a result, it is speculated that the game will hit the market in early 2017.
The rationale behind the delay could be because the developers want to avoid stiff competition from other games at the time "Dishonored 2" comes out. In addition, the delay will give the developers an opportunity to make some improvements on the game.
The upcoming game will star both Emily Kaldwin and CorvoAttano as playable characters. Although there are no many details revealed concerning the gameplay, speculations show that gamers will go through the city of Karnaca in the game as they play as either of the characters. Players will use their powers and special abilities in the process to take down enemies and finish a series of missions.
The main campaign of the game will have a story set 15 years after "The Dunwall Plague." Princess Emily is illegally removed from her throne by a ghostly usurper and declared an outcast. Therefore, the empire falls into a state of total confusion.
The game is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One for preorder for $20 at Target, according to Geek Snack. Here is a clip for the upcoming game.
