New "Final Fantasy XV" updates will reveal new underwater combat, the special Xbox One controller being fake and new game details at Comic Fiesta 2015.
Square Enix announce that "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata will be present at the Comic Fiesta 2015 event on Dec. 19-20 in Malaysia. Coming along with Tabata is the game's lead designer Wan Hazmer and so far, there have been no additional information regarding what will they do during the event, Geeksnack reported.
Several gaming fans believed that Tabata might be presenting new details or updates regarding "Final Fantasy XV's" progress during Comic Fiesta, since Square Enix revealed new details about the game in the previous event last year.
Aside from Tabata's participation in Comic Fiesta 2015, Square Enix also confirmed that the rumors about the special Xbox One controller of "Final Fantasy XV" is just a fake as they tweeted about it using the game's official Twitter page.
Square Enix added that "Final Fantasy XV" will likely feature an underwater combat style gameplay and Airships as DLC for the game, Gazette Observer reported.
The game's lead programmer Satoshi Kitade stated that the pre-beta program for "Final Fantasy XV" is now finished and players will have the chance to play it from start to finish. The development team is currently polishing the quality, mechanics and certain game elements that needs further testing once the final product is done.
Tabata announced that they will be working on a new demo for the sequel and it is said that this could be a different gameplay than the "Episode: Duscae" demo. The game will also feature a level up system similar to the Gambit System, as well as "Monster Climbing" that allows players to attack a specific body part against larger foes.
Square Enix will likely announce the official launch date of the game in a special event on March next year.
"Final Fantasy XV" will launch sometime in 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
