To call Jennifer Lopez's schedule "busy" almost feels like an understatement. In fact, it's a bit of a massive understatement, because the multi-talented Bronx native just continues to stay occupied these days. And much of that has happened In the past two years alone! We've watched her cement her place in musical history with the release of her latest album, 'A.K.A.', which was definitely worth the wait. She also added another line to her always-growing resume by putting out her first book, 'True Love,' in late 2014.
You'd assume that would be enough for JLo, especially given that she's maintained her seat as a judge on 'American Idol.' But you'd also be wrong, because the 46-year-old artist is accomplishing yet another first in her storied career. She is gearing up for what should be one of her biggest live shows yet with a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Her headlining jaunt kicks off Jan. 20 and runs through the beginning of February, and she couldn't be excited to get going.
"I really hope to create an intimate experience tailored for Vegas with some amazing sets, with some amazing set pieces, and create a different experience," she said in a video interview on USA Today, adding that it should be the "quintessential JLo show." What she means is that it'll be bigger and better than some of her recent tours. Even though she showered her team with praise in regards to what they accomplished over the years, she said they could be doing more. The reason for that, though, is that the tour shows had to be trimmed a bit given the fact she and her team were constantly moving from one city to the next. By being in a single venue, however, they'll be able to properly display just what Lopez, her backup dancers, and her stage crew can truly provide in a live performance.
Las Vegas venues have been pushing for more high-profile residencies these past few years, and it makes spending a holiday there more enticing than ever. However, you don't necessarily have to take a trip there to enjoy at least portions of what JLo brings to the table. For one, you could build your own playlist of her greatest hits, which she'll perform onstage, through Spotify's platform. And if you want to capture the experience of being in a Vegas venue, an online gaming hub can offer a similar experience without necessarily breaking the bank. Betfair's variety of options offer the chance to play a wide range of games that include slots, poker, blackjack, and the likes. Essentially, it works to simulate what it's like being right there at Caesar's Palace—in the comfort of your own home, of course. It may not be the exact same thing as being there, but it's definitely close enough, especially if you can find any video clips of her live shows.
However, if you are interested in attending any of JLo's residency shows in person, you can head over to Ticketmaster to secure your seats.
