Google Chrome safe browsing is no longer new to most people. However, with regards to the Android app, safe browsing feature has never been available for use in maximum capacity until Dec. 7.
Google does not require users to use safe browsing feature at all times. While there is permission at times, this feature has become a default in the Android version of Google Chrome. This simply means that it will be enabled from the get go. Google, fortunately, allows its users to make his or her choice, so they can just disable the feature if they wish, but it still encourages to keep it as a default since this will alert users if there is a potential risk or malicious attack, Tech Crunch reported.
Chrome for Android safe browsing feature can be ticked on and off by going to the settings menu. This is the very first app to feature safe browsing. To take advantage of this feature, users need to have at least the Chrome for Android version 46. Since it is already updated to Chrome 47, this means that there will be very few people left without this feature turned on.
Once Google detects a website that is potentially malicious, which a user is about to visit, it will give an onscreen alert in bright red with a stop sign so it can be easily noticed. This should guarantee that no user will experience or stumbles upon unsafe websites online.
Google also explained that if users enable their safe browsing, it will also keep their privacy well-protected just like the desktop version, ZDnet reported.
