Michael Cavallari's car was found on Nov. 27 in a ditch about 100 feet away from Floy Wash Road but Kristin's brother has yet to appear after having been arrested on Nov. 23 for making a criminal threat to an unnamed woman.
Kristin's brother had a 2014 Honda Civic that was left behind with the airbag already deployed, although no foul play whatsoever was observed by the police and search crews even if the incident seemed suspicious.
Just before 8 a.m. on Nov. 27, a call about the car was noted by Sheriff Steve White, according to Los Angeles Times. Inside the 2014 Honda Civic, a phone and a laptop owned by Michael were found.
In addition, utilizing the credit card transactions and CCTV footage revealed that Michael was last seen at 3:30 a.m at a convenience store located in Monticello, Utah, which was about 95 miles to the south of Interstate 70, on the same day that the car was spotted in a ditch. A look into the website of Missing Persons of America also shows that the car was left running.
The 30-year-old brother of reality show star Kristin resided in Southern California and was noted to have bailed out of jail on Nov. 25 after a woman told the authorities that Michael was outside her apartment and was holding a loaded shotgun.
Furthermore, the woman clarified that an argument happened between her and Michael two days before the threat happened. Apparently, Michael kept coming back near the woman's apartment. During the day of the arrest, police also noted that Michael reeked of alcohol as the single man admitted to having a loaded shotgun inside the vehicle.
However, Michael remarked that he did nothing wrong to the unidentified woman, according to Chicago Tribune. Kristin's sibling has no kids and was employed at their father's corporation. Initially, the Cavallari family wanted to keep the case private but the family soon disclosed Michael's disappearance with the hope that someone would provide useful information.
