Sullivan Stapleton is currently playing FBI agent Kurt Weller in "Blindspot" opposite Jaimie Alexander as the mysterious Jane Doe. Apparently, the Australian actor is aware that not everyone is satisfied with how he portrays the FBI in the mystery drama series created by Martin Gero.
"People like our show, and that's all that matters," News.com.au quoted Stapleton as saying. "It's the fans who keep you in a job not some guy writing a review."
Stapleton revealed that he once read a review that said he was an awful actor. He said that for a minute, he got all riled up. However, he then thought, "You know, mate, just change the channel, or wait until one of the other actors come on and watch them."
For the role of FBI agent Kurt Weller in "Blindspot," Stapleton relocated from Australia to New York. He said the filming is a "killer" and "never-ending" but pointed out that as a working actor, it is a trivial thing to be whingeing about.
For Stapleton, it was the 2010 Australian film "Animal Kingdom" directed by David Michod that launched his career in Hollywood. He pointed out, "I owe so much to David Michod and that film, that I had it tattooed on my arm."
Meanwhile, Gero recently shared some "Blindspot" spoilers. He told Entertainment Weekly, "The Russian spy ring, that story is not over, but that person is not important."
Aside from playing FBI agent Kurt Weller in "Blindspot," Stapleton is also set to star in the upcoming action film "The Lake" opposite Marc Hodapp and Marko Paradzik. Set to hit theaters on July 15, 2016, the film was directed by Steven Quale and written by Luc Besson and Richard Wenk.
