Here is the latest Android Marshmallow release update for Moto E (2015), Moto X and Moto G.
The electronics maker Motorola has announced that it will release Android Marshmallow update to the Moto E (Gen 2), also known as Moto E (2015) handset in particular regions. Earlier reports suggested that the Moto E handset will not get the Android Marshmallow update.
Last October, a list of Motorola devices that were to receive the Android Marshmallow update was released by the company. Moto X (1st generation) and Moto G (1st generation) were not included in the list. In addition, Moto E (Gen 2) was also not included in the list.
However, according to Phone Arena, Moto E (Gen 2) will now receive the Android Marshmallow update in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Canada. However, Moto E (Gen 2) will not receive the latest update in China.
Also, the Android Marshmallow update is now rolling out to users of the Moto X Pure Edition on US carriers such as AT&T, US Cellular, Sprint and Verizon.
The electronics company has also begun soak tests on the Moto X Play in India and Brazil, together with the Brazilian version of the Moto X Force.
According to previous reports, Motorola has begun giving away the Android 6.0 M update in the Moto X (2014) and Moto X Style. The update was released through over-the-air. Furthermore, users of the Moto G (2014) have begun getting the new update, Christian Today reported.
Other Motorola devices such as Moto G (2015) and Moto G with 4G LTE2 (2nd gen) will also get the Android Marshmallow update.
