"Donald Trumpkin" is a 375-pound (170-kilogram) pumpkin that was modeled after Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, and made headline news during Halloween. The round gourd has survived the fall season, and has now been transformed for winter into "Trumpkin Elf" just in time for the holiday season. This celebrity caricature was decorated to look like the character Buddy in the Christmas movie "Elf" (2003) starring Will Ferrell.
Many political experts believed that Trump's bombastic style would cause his popularity to decrease. However, the billionaire businessman has survived months of political attacks, while Trumpkin has also lived through the fall season's chilly temperatures.
The giant pumpkin has been prepared for the Christmas holidays. iReporter Jeanette Paras has added an elf hat and clothes to convert the orange fruit into Trumpkin Elf, based on the 2003 movie "Elf."
Paras told CNN that she chose the holiday movie for a reason. It is because the happy attitude and positive outlook of the main character Buddy is the opposite of Trump, according to CNN.
It is not usual for pumpkins to have such a long life. Donald Trumpkin has survived because of the fair autumn weather in central Ohio this year.
For Halloween Paras decided to carve out the Donald Trump-like pumpkin this year instead of the traditional Jack-o'-lantern. She painted the GOP politician's face on the huge gourd to "pumpkinize" him.
The whole job of took 10 hours to complete, according to The Huffington Post. The Columbus Dispatch reported that several blond wigs were used to copy Trump's famous hairdo.
Paras has transformed big pumpkins into celebrity caricatures since 1988. Other famous people she has used as models include musician Miley Cyrus, and Phil Robertson from the TV show "Duck Dynasty."
