Porsche is set to return in an emphatic way when it launches the Porsche Mission E, which is a fully electric car, investing about 1 million Euros and creating 1, 000 new jobs.
Plans of renovating of their main Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen site are on, and the cash influx is also set to give rise to a new assembly plant and paint shop during the coming years.
The company confirmed that it has received the green light from the supervisory board, and in about 3 to 5 years time, the launch of their all electric car is set to take place. The production will reportedly take place at their Zuffenhausen assembly plant in Germany.
The concept of the car was displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, which was one of the hits of the show. The Porsche Mission E fully electric car will be the brand's first electric car that will give an output of 600 HP, with an estimated performance figures of 0-100 Km/h in just 3.5 seconds, as well as covering a distance of 500 m with a single recharge. A charging unit of 800 Volt will be powered by a lithium-ion battery, which will be capable of charging 80 percent capacity in only 15 minutes.
The news is that Porsche electric car design inspiration is from Tesla's. Although the company is yet to announce a date for Porsche Mission E fully electric car's launching, more news are in the offing.
