"Girl Meets World" spoilers revealed that season 3 will focus on Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya's (Sabrina Carpenter) journey in high school. The love triangle between Riley, Maya and Lucas (Peyton Meyer) will also be the main highlights of the show.
According to its official spoiler page, dating will become a huge factor come season 3. As the season 2 finale left viewers with a cliffhanger on what happens next to Riley, Lucas and Maya, it was hinted that the premiere episode may just pick off immediately where the episode left off. It was said that the love triangle may be resolved this season but there will be a major plot twist seven episodes into the season.
Following "Girl Meets the New Year," there will be a few more episodes under second season before the season 3 premiere.
Although there is still no official release date for the third season, Carter Matt speculated that the series will air early 2016. The "Girl Meets World" writers recently confirmed that they have already started writing about possible plotlines involving Riley, Lucas and Maya.
It was said that the cast and crew of the Disney series are definitely thankful for the renewal, explaining that there are still a lot of stories they need to tell. The renewal, however did not come as a surprise to many as the show is reportedly the number one rated series across all Kids Cable TV Networks.
