New "Kingdom Hearts 3" details will feature a new gameplay in D23 Expo Japan, Utada Hiakru returning and a possible launch date for the PlayStation 4.
It looks like a small gameplay of "Kingdom Hearts 3" has been spotted in a leaked D23 Japan footage courtesy of the Japanese cable channel DLife. The video featured several highlights from the events from "Star Wars: Rebels", "Sophia the First", "Disney's Decedents" and many more.
Audiences were able to see gameplay footages of "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8" and "Kingdom Hearts 3" as the video saw Sora summoning the Toy Story themed attraction flow similar to the the leaked photo of it several months back, Gematsu reported.
The Buzz Lightyear like summon had gaming fans wondering if Square Enix could be adding "Toy Story" as one of the new Disney worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3", joining the likes of "Tangled", "Hercules" and "Big Hero 6" within the game.
Other Disney worlds that are rumored to be added in "Kingdom Hearts 3" include "Frozen", "Wreck-It Ralph", "The Jungle Book" and "The Fox and the Hound". Co-director Tai Yasue hinted that "Star Wars" and "Marvel" characters and worlds could be added as both franchises are owned by Disney; However, director Tetsuya Nomura stated that having both franchises could prove to be difficult due to the strict rules Disney set upon when it comes to licensed materials.
Square Enix added that a preview of "Kingdom Hearts 3's" gameplay can be found in "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage" as gamers assume the role of Aqua as she escapes the dark dimension. Daybreak Town is also rumored to be added in the game as a resting point, but several fans debated on whether Square Enix should include or not, feeling the are will not have a purpose in the sequel.
Aside from the leaked gameplay footage, Japanese American singer Utada Hikaru is rumored to be back in "Kingdom Hearts 3" and will create the opening soundtrack theme for the game. Several Japanese news sites claim that Hikaru will make a comeback to her music career in the Spring 2016, sparking rumors and speculations that her first music will come out in "Kingdom Hearts 3" due to her work in the previous titles, Moviepilot reported.
Some of Hikaru's work on "Kingdom Hearts" include "Simple and Clean" for the first game and "Sanctuary" in the second.
Lastly, the launch date for "Kingdom Heats 3" is tentatively set on Dec. 31, 2016 by retailing website Amazon with a pre-order price of $59.99 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although, it should be noted that his is merely a placeholder, a leaked footage of game revealed that the game could launch in the Winter 2016, thus making its possible release seem legitimate.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" will available for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
