Unlike ordinary people who retire from working at 60 or 65 and then receive some amount expected to last them during their sunset years, it is different for retired American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.
At 38 and with millions of dollars, "Money May" is living life to the hilt and enjoying travelling while he is at the peak of health. In the last 13 days, Mayweather breezed through 10 countries in two continents, the ex-boxer posted on Instagram on Thursday.
He first traveled to Iceland then went to Russia, Romania, Turkey, France, Monaco, Italy, UAE, Egypt and Ireland. He may be a billionaire, but Mayweather still acts like a tourist, posing for photos in famous landmarks such as Rome's Coliseum and Dubai's Burk Khalifa hotel and beside a camel while dressed like an Arab, reports Daily Mail.
But unlike many tourists who also try to save because of huge expenses incurred during a trip overseas, money is not a problem to Mayweather. He brought 24 people to keep him company during his Dubai trip where the group skied on artificial slopes.
For souvenir for himself, the wealthy boxer bought a $1.1-million diamond-encrusted Hublot watch in Dubai.
Daily Mail notes that since Mayweather hang his gloves after he defeated Haitian boxer Andre Berto in September that sealed his 49-0 record, he started to globe-trot, initially at the Polynesian island of Bora Bora with BFF Justin Bieber. Unfortunately for the Canadian singer, the bromance was interrupted by a paparazzi who stole shots of a naked Bieber swimming in the outdoor pool of his private villa. The paparazzi later posted photos of the nude 21-year-old pop icon, including frontal shots showing Bieber's aroused manhood.
Although no longer fighting in the ring, Mayweather is still in touch with boxing events as he commented on Friday through a Facebook post about the Dec. 12 bout at the 02 arena in Britain between Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte. He writes, "These British boxers were out for blood."
