Justin Bieber could perhaps learn a lesson or two from BFF Floyd Mayweather Jr. when dealing with former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. While he apologized to Ronda for his alleged snub of the MMA fighter's sister, at the same time he took a shot at her recent heartbreaking loss to Holly Holm.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Justin said he does not remember the snubbing incident involving Julia at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for which Ronda called the Canadian singer's attention a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, he apologized for not taking a selfie with Julia.
"Supposedly she asked for a picture with her sister or something and I guess I said no, but I don't remember this happening so, Ronda, I'm sorry - don't kick my ass," Justin said.
In the same interview, boxing was the topic and Justin commented that he wants to improve on boxing. Before Mayweather retired, he taught his BFF some tips in boxing.
Justin then asked the host, "Did you see Ronda Rousey? She got knocked out cold! Oh my God, she got knocked out so bad. Yeah, no, she got pummeled."
Commenting on the "foot-in-mouth disease" that Justin suffers from, Fox writes, "Chances are the next time Rousey runs into Bieber she won't be asking for an autograph or a picture but she might show him a thing or two about getting knocked out."
Justin's words contrasts with Mayweather who not only denied ordering rapper 50 Cent to post a meme about Ronda's loss, but even chided netizens for making fun of her loss to Holm, despite their past word war. What apparently changed his outlook toward Ronda was a video of an old interview wherein Ronda said some positive things about him, particularly his shoulder roll.
Mayweather not only encouraged Ronda to hold her head up high despite her loss. "If you need help as far as with boxing, I'm here to help you," FightHype quotes the retired boxer.
