Google is slashing prices on two Android smartphones and one smartwatch just in time for the holiday shopping season. The sale includes the Huawei-made 6P handset, LG-made 5X smart phone, and Huawei Watch. The Nexus and Android Wear devices must be bought directly from the tech giant's online store.
Nexus 6P is widely considered to be the best Nexus phone released, according to Computerworld. Google's first sale drops the starting prices of the 32 gigabyte version ($449), 64GB model ($499), and 128GB option ($599), according to CNET.
The 6P is the first Nexus mobile device Huawei has made since joining forces with Google. It has been praised for its price-performance dichotomy.
The tech titan is also giving the 5X smartphone a $50 price cut, which reduces the budget phone to $329. Even though the new deal is not as good as the $299 price tag during Black Friday, the 13 percent discount makes it a good stocking stuffer.
Google is also reducing the price of its Huawei Watch by $50. The regular price of the silver mesh band is $399, and the black stainless steel model normally costs $449.
Chromebook laptops will also be slightly discounted. Their sale prices provide a savings of $10 to $30 on select models.
The company is also offering a Christmas bonus to its customers. All United States Google Store orders will include free overnight shipping until December 22, Tuesday, which provides a savings of about $20.
Google's holiday sale will end on December 30. Engadget reports it is available to shoppers in the US and Japan.
In other Huawei news, the Chinese company's Nexus 6P phone will reportedly soon be sold in Best Buy's brick-and-mortar stores and online. The big box retailer already carries the 5X model.
