Selena Gomez posted a photo of her male model crush on her Instagram account in answer to Justin Bieber’s own Instagram mystery girl post from a week ago.
Gomez’s Instagram account showed a photo of a blonde model in a black cap and a white shirt drinking orange soda from a bottle. The photo immediately went viral, with over one million likes and more than 30,000 comments from “The Heart Wants What it Wants” singer’s 56 million followers.
The subject of the photo turned out to be Los Angeles-based model, Christopher Mason, 23, the Daily Mail reported.
Mason, who is represented by Wilhelmina Models, has previously appeared on Vogue and in a Paul Mitchell hair product ad. He has yet to respond to Gomez posting his photo on her Instagram account, including to the singer’s followers ordering him to “date Selena” on the comments section, according to Yahoo.
A week previously, Gomez’s ex-boyfriend, Bieber posted a photo of a mystery girl on his Instagram, recruiting his own followers to identify the female in the photo with his comment, “OMG, who is this?”
The mystery girl has since been identified as Spanish resident Cindy Kimberly, 17, who uses the Instagram username @wolfiecindy, and has over 500,000 followers on her account.
Bieber posted Kimberly’s photo reported in response to rumors Gomez had been spotted kissing One Direction singer Niall Horan during actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s 35th birthday party earlier in the month.
Gomez has since denied she was dating the Irish boy band performer.
