A December 2015 release date for both the Pokémon Z and Go is already out of the question and the focus has turned to a 2016 outing for the game titles. For Pokémon Z, the debut timing now points to February next year but the details remain sketchy. For Pokémon Go, one report confirmed that the augmented reality game is definitely touching down in 2016.
According to Venture Beat, Pokémon GO "is coming in 2016," indicating that the game is beyond the beta stage as speculated in earlier reports. Venture Beat confirmed as well that The Pokémon Company, creator of the popular game franchise, is partnering with Niantic to complete the project.
In the same report, Venture Beat has learned a few solid details on the Pokémon GO and four of them are listed below:
Pokémon is going mobile
In the same manner that the AR-centric Pokémon GO is mainly designed as a social game, its creator has decided to finally embrace the mobile game platform, which is a move that complexly aligns with the game's key function - "a global location-based game where you can go out into the real world and catch Pokémon creatures."
According to Niantic CEO John Hanke, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company now realized that the mobile gaming platform is the wave of future and embracing it.
Social gaming
As mentioned, Pokémon Z and more so with Pokémon GO will highlight the social element of mobile gaming. In order to fully enjoy the game, players will be encouraged to intensify their interaction with Pokémon fans from different parts of the world.
As Hanke had imagined, "You have to be someone who takes time off work and travels the world for a year. There may be people who do that."
Pokémon teams
Gamers are also advised to enlist on Pokémon teams of their choice, which Wii U Daily said "can further your team's cause as you go about the world collecting (the different kinds of Pokémon)." This is also an advantage when attending competitive Pokémon events that Niantic said will become a regular part of the game.
Pokémon trading
Hanke revealed too that as Pokémon will live in different locations around the world there will be breed of mons that will be considered as rare. "Water Pokémon will live near the water. It may be that certain Pokémon will only exist in certain parts of the world. Very rare Pokémon may exist in very few places," Hanke said.
It would be hard to collect all the Pokémon available but one way to do so is by trading. "You can't get all of them by yourself. If you want all of them you'll have to trade with other players," Hanke explained, declaring at the same time that "Pokémon trading is going to be huge."
