New "Thor: Ragnarok" details will feature Cate Blanchett joining the cast as a villain and Vision's possible role in the film.
Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett is being tapped by Marvel Studios to be part of "Thor: Ragnarok" in a prominent female role. Various reports claim that the "Lord of the Rings" actress will be playing the film's first major villainess role as four Marvel characters are already been mentioned such as Amora the Enchantress, Karnilla, the Warrior Queen Knorda and the Goddess of Death Hel, Cinemablend reported.
However, other reports claim that Blanchett could be playing the Asgardian warrior, Brunnhilde/Valkyrie in "Thor: Ragnarok". Valkyrie was revealed in several concept art images for "Thor: The Dark World", but Marvel did not include her in the film. With the Ragnarok event happening in Asgard is seems that Valkyrie could make an appearance since her purpose is watch over the fallen warriors and bring them to Valhalla similar to the comics and Norse Mythology.
"In the Heart of the Sea" actor Chris Hemsworth previously shared his casting ideas for the new female lead actress in "Thor: Ragnarok" as he mentions his "The Huntsman: Winter's War" co-stars Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain.
In other news, its seems that another Avenger member could be appearing in "Thor: Ragnarok" as the android superohero Vision (Paul Bettany) will make his presence known in the film.
Several reports claim that Vision will be leaving Earth to travel the galaxy after the events of "Captain America: Civil War". Vision in the third instalment will be a part if Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr.) team of Avengers as they try to stop Captain America (Chris Evans) from opposing the government's registration act, "the Accords".
Vision will be leaving earth after the war and will likely appear "Thor: Ragnarok" or in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2". A possible theory for Vision's appearance could have something to do with Thanos (Josh Brolin) collecting the Infinity Stones since Vision has the Mind Stone and he is after it, Cosmic Book News reported.
Thanos is also rumored to be responsible for Ragnarok in Asgard as the Mad Titan plans on obtaining the Tesseract since the Asgardians have kept in their kingdom as these events could lead to "Avengers: Infinity War".
"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be release on Nov. 3, 2017.
