South Korean rapper Psy is still dominating the K-Pop music industry with his hits "Gangnam Style," "Gentleman" and most recently "Hangover" featuring rapper Snoop Dogg.
Psy and Snoop Dogg collaboration appears to be a hit as "Hangover" was the most viewed K-pop music video in the United States in 2014. Posted on June 8, 2014 on YouTube, the music video reached more than 172.4 million views after seven months.
Following Psy's "Hangover" featuring Snoop Dogg is EXO-K "Overdose" at number two. Taeyang's "Good Boy" with G-Dragon is at number three and her "Eyes, Nose, Lips" is at number four followed by Girls' Generation's "Mr.Mr." at number five.
At number six is "Come Back Home" by 2NE1, whose "Gotta Be You" is at number 11 and at number seven is "Red" by HyunA, the leader of the K-Pop group 4Minute and the lead dancer in the music video of "Gangnam Style" by Psy.
During the initial production stage of "Gangnam Style," Hyuna was said to have been personally selected by Psy. A female version of the 2012 hit song featuring Hyuna's additional vocals was also released.
Psy performed "Gangnam Style" along with his other hit song "Gentleman" as the finale of the performances of several pop stars at the opening of the 2014 Asian Games at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on Sept.19, Hello Kpop reported.
Also in the list of top 10 most viewed K-Pop music videos in 2014 are f(x)'s "Red Light" at number eight, HIGH4 & IU's "Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms" at number nine and Beast's "Good Luck" at number 10.
