"America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon has filed for divorce from Mariah Carey. He was said to have done the filing quietly.
The divorce papers filed by Cannon were dated Dec. 12, 2014, according to TMZ.
On Dec. 2, 2014, Carey stirred up controversy after showing up three hours late to film a segment for the NBC tree-lighting special, in which she was criticized for her questionable vocals during her performance of the song "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
Before her criticized Christmas performance, Carey was seen on the phone with her lawyers discussing the terms of property settlement with Cannon. She was reportedly keeping Cannon from her properties, which include her lucrative deal in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Cannon is still the host of NBC's "America's Got Talent," the only talent competition show that caters to all contestants of any age and any talent. The reality series has already started its nationwide search for its acts for Season 10.
Five hopefuls will be given passes to skip the line of auditionees and head straight to the stage at McCormick Place in Chicago on Jan. 24 or 25, according to NBC Chicago.
Auditions will also be conducted in St. Louis on Jan. 26, in San Antonio on Jan. 29, in Tacoma on Feb. 9, in Boise on Feb. 10, in Las Vegas on Feb. 12 and in Los Angeles on Feb. 14 and 15.
Completing the panel of "America's Got Talent" Season 10 judges are Howie Mandel, Howard Stern, Heidi Klum and Melanie Brown.
