If "dethroned" Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez would accept an offer by Vivid Entertainment to star in a porn film, she would be richer by $1 million, get her revenge on bumbling host Steve Harvey and even have a crown of her own.
Steve Hirsch, co-founder of Vivid, the same film behind Kim Kardashian's sex tape, says Ariadna could whip an actor looks like Harvey, the host who embarrassed her by mistake when he called Miss Colombia as Miss Universe 2015 when he should have called Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach. To further sweeten the offer, Hirsh promised Ariadna a crown "grander than anything Miss Philippines will ever wear," reports The New York Daily News.
Hirsch sent to offer to Ariadna to the Miss Universe pageant offices. In the letter, he cited 1984 Miss America Vanessa Williams who was also stripped of her crown for posing nude but made the dethroned beauty queen more famous. He points out, "Today Vanesa is an accomplished actress, singer and author ... She even admitted that the incident with Penthouse helped rather than hurt her career.
The porn filmmaker is echoing a suggestion from public relations practitioners and marketing experts for Ariadna to turn the humiliating experience into an opportunity by becoming an actor or model. Those suggestions were made after the Colombian consul to New York expressed over Gutierrez's mental health following Sunday's gaffe by Harvey.
But it appears that Ariadna has moved on from the incident and went on to congratulate Wurtzbach. However, Vivid's offer may spark another lawsuit from Colombian lawyers, who plan to sue the Miss Universe organisation, for insulting their beauty queen. She has not commented yet on Vivid's offer.
