The heartwarming video is just in time for the holiday season. In the video the penguins waddle over to meet Santa Claus, according to Newsday.

An aquarium worker reported that only the penguins who were comfortable dressing up participated in the event, according to ABC7 New York. Any birds that became stressed out returned to their habitat and were given a tasty snack.

Earlier this year the New York aquarium had offered Santa photos to the public. It was the first time it had done that.

As a result, the next logical step was for the penguins to meet Santa Claus. That is the plan that the aquarium made so the birds could meet Saint Nicholas.

Earlier this year, the Long Island aquarium suited up its penguins in Halloween costumes. Their costumes featured a lobster, pumpkin, bowtie and suit, and mermaid.

One day after the autumn holiday, the aquarium hosted a Halloween Party. During the event the penguins led a parade through the aquarium. Seals also participated in the event.

The Long Island Aquarium is located in Riverhead, New York, and was opened in June 2000 after construction started one year before. Since then it has undergone a $24 million expansion. The aquarium's 20,000-gallon coral reef display tank is one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere.
