Rumors of a Chinese-Korean collaboration has been confirmed as one of China's renowned actresses Crystal Liu Yifei promotes her upcoming team up with South Korea's Song Seung-heon in the film "The Third Way of Love."
According to CRIEnglish.com, the Chinese actress promoted the film, which is based on the Chinese bestselling novel "Di San Zhong Ai Qing," at a press conference.
There, she joined the movie's helmer, South Korean director John H. Lee, and co-star Song Seung-hon, who would be playing the male lead character, Lin Qizheng.
The story revolves around the love affair of the wealthy heir Lin Qizheng and a lovely and equally witty lawyer Zou Yu played by Crystal Liu.
"I admire Zou Yu's resolute, high-hearted character. In my understanding, Zou Yu loves Lin, but meanwhile she also worries Lin, from a rich family, is not a reliable guy," the actress explained to the media present during the press briefing.
This news confirms past reports June last year about an offer to the two artists to play the lead roles in the Chinese love drama.
Song, who became popular late in the year 2000, had received commendations in his role in the erotic melo movie "Obsessed."
In a much bigger break, Song had become famous not just in South Korea but all over Asia for playing the male lead in the TV drama series "Lan Se Sheng Si Lian," internationally known as "Endless Love: Autumn in My Heart."
Meanwhile, the Chinese actress had become a familiar face to Korean audiences for her roles in "The Assassins" and "The Forbidden Kingdom."
