"UFC 2" mixed martial arts video game from EA Sports is slated to be released sometime in the spring of 2016. New reports claim that WWE superstar CM Punk will be part of the playable roster of characters of the upcoming "UFC 2" game.
According to MMA Junkie, CM Punk along with unexpected fighters like Alexandra Albu and Clay Collard is part of the "UFC 2" character rosters. The following characters are also loaded with tons of optional character customization.
CM Punk is also scheduled for his debut UFC fight sometime in 2016, according to Wrestle Zone. The official fight schedule of CM Punk in the UFC is yet to be revealed.
Although there are new addition to the game's roster of playable characters, there are also significant omissions. One prominent fighter casted out was Brock Lesnar. Rumors claim that Lesnar was removed from the game following his contract signing with the WWE.
It is important to note that Lesnar once had a successful run as a UFC fighter. Lesnar was available on the first "UFC" game as a downloadable character. Despite Lesnar's absence in the lineup, fans are still hoping that his character will be offered as a downloadable character in the future.
"UFC 2" from EA Sports features Ronda Rousey and the recently crowned featherweight champion Conor McGregor on the cover.
The first "UFC" video game sports around 120 fighters, including downloadable characters. The upcoming "UFC 2" title is said to contain a staggering roster containing at least 250 fighters. EA Sports promises that the roster will continue to grow as the company will release downloadable characters as well.
