An industry analyst who is said to have a strong record of predicting Apple future products foresees that the Cuppertino-based Tech giant will likely launch an optional stylus for its much-awaited iPad Pro. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple's rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro will get an optional stylus, Mac Rumors reported.
This forecast made by Kuo is based on several stylus related patents that the Cuppertino-based giant had filed, in which he said that Apple might settle on one of those patents to incorporate in the upcoming larger version of iPad. The analyst is said to be very well connected with Apple's supply chain though, as reported by Apple Insider, Kuo did not mention or cite any specific source to back the rumors outside the Cuppertino-based tech giant patent filings.
Rumor has it that the first batch of stylus will only have basic capabilities and is unlikely to boast high-tech or special features such gyroscope accelerometer, 3D writing support, wireless charging support; however, Kuo said that Apple will make these possible in its future models, given that all the required hardware and software has already been developed.
It can be recalled that some major accurate predictions made by Kuo were the Cuppertino-based giant will use a scratch resistant home button made by sapphire with a fingerprint scanner; Apple will release a gold iPhone; Apple will have an 8mp camera with dual flash on its iPhone and lastly; and Apple will replace iPhone 5 with iPhone 5C but will still keep iPhone 4S. He also predicted that by 2014, an iPhone model sporting larger screen size than normal would be released, which is fortunately true as iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were both released in September 2014.
On the other hand, some of Kuo's incorrect predictions were Apple's sapphire home button would be made out of convex and iPhone 5C will be priced at $400-$500 at the time of its release.
