Most people love taking pictures of food, nature, and themselves, during the day and even at night. Since it is assumed that it daytime photography is easier, here are some tips in taking photos at night.
One way to yield a good photo at night is to utilize an app that enables adjustment of exposure and ISO. Long-running photographer James Ransom told The Week that the key to getting the best image possible is to use an app like ProCamera, which allows the user to control the amount of light the camera takes in and the camera's light sensiityvity.
According to Ransom, it should be noted that one still needed some light to have an image. This can be done by either using a high-powered LED flashlight or shooting in an area where there is adequate amount of light to cover the scene. He added that a higher ISO means more grain in the image and longer exposure means increased blurriness of the image.
Another tip in illuminating an dark photo is using one light source. This can be done by having a friend hold his phone's flashlight on one side of the subject or one's own camera flash in caase of extreme emergencies. In nighttime shots, the subject could also by positioned in front of some fairy lights while blurring the background using a wide aperture, according to Amateur Photographer.
When all methods have been done and failed, the photos can be turned back and white. Aside from color issues, the problem of having lights with different color temperatures may be solved as well.
