In a rare incident, a pregnant CNN anchor fainted on air while delivering a news on Iraq on live television.
Poppy Harlow, who is expecting a baby girl this spring, had a health scare during the morning news on Dec. 28, Monday, when she passed out on air.
The 33-year-old anchor began the broadcast with some breaking news with a lower third that reads: "Iraq declares Ramadi 'Liberated' from ISIS.'" Soon she started slurring her words after which broadcast went radio silent.
However, Harlow was heard breathing heavily through her anchor mic before she reportedly passed out in the studio. Although she was not on camera when the incident happened, her colleagues were heard in the background responding to her medical scare.
CNN quickly took a commercial break and replaced Harlow with another media anchor Brian Stelter. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she and her unborn child received a thorough check-up, E! News reported.
Harlow rebounded quickly and addressed her viewers on-camera a few hours later when she explained the scary moment.
"I got a little hot, and I passed out for a moment. I am fine," quipped the anchor while thanking her fans for asking about her well being on Twitter.
This is not the first time that such an incident has happened on live TV. Back in December 2013, KUTV's correspondent Brooke Graham briefly fainted on air while interviewing cross country skiing coaches at Mountaindale Golf course, Salt Lake City. The incident became one of the last minute contender for 2013's best news bloopers as Graham again popped right back and continued reporting, Huffington Post reported.
